Cycles UK watford closing down
When we started our bike shop in Watford, we became part of a community dedicated to helping cyclists.
But you might be surprised to know that owner Shaun’s first bike shop was in Cycles UK Watford many years ago, and he still has a huge amount of love and respect for the place. We’ve been sending each other customers, supporting each other from the beginning and many of their team are still our good friends.
We were very sad to hear that Cycles UK Watford is closing its doors, but we know that they’ll continue to offer amazing service across their other stores and locations in the UK.
In the meantime, if you do need support for your bike, mechanic Will from Cycles UK has been sending people our way, so if we can help you, we’d love to do so, especially if you had a service booked or you need some immediate support.
There aren’t many bike shops in Watford, and the few we do have all cover different specialisms!
UPCYCLING/KIDS BIKES
If you are looking to give away or hope to upcycle a bike that needs a little love so it can have a new home, we recommend the Watford Cycle Hub, who are fantastic at reducing materials and working with older bikes. They also do an excellent slice of cake in their cafe!
EBIKES/COLLECTION
If you’ve got an e-bike, or you need someone to collect your bike from you, the amazing Kay from Cycle Dude is THE BEST. We love Kay!
ANYTHING ELSE
If you want a service, advice, a good chat and a coffee along with some advice on the latest purchase, we can help!
We’re thrilled to share we’ll be selling an excellent range of bikes on our website, and inshore, including our brand favourites like Cinelli, DMR and many more. So while we know that losing out on a quality bike shop with stock can be hard, we’re here to help in any way we can.
Why come to Dropbar Watford?
We’re part of the community, and we know Cycles UK and the team well! We know what they stocked, and we’ve worked hard to be able to offer a similarly affordable experience.
But we’re also a small independent family business, which means a really personal service every time. We want your bike to be about YOU, as a rider and a person. Is it riding how you like? Are you comfortable and confident? Could it be better in anyway?
We’ve taken experience from working in various bike shops in Hertfordshire and across London for the last ten years, and our goal has always been:
personal service
transparency around timings and expectations
affordability
high quality work
Plus, you book in with us and you know you’re supporting the cancer charities that we give to every month too!
