win a £1300 bike in our charity raffle
We’re so thrilled to share our latest initiative to support cancer charities whilst building a community and helping cyclists - a charity raffle!
We’re going to be raffling off a beautiful road bike, size large, custom-built by Shaun in our workshop, with a value of at least £1300, for one lucky winner! The money raised will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK to support and raise awareness of Prostate Cancer Month in March.
You can follow along with the build on our Instagram account @dropbarbikerepairs and click here to enter the dropbar raffle. Tickets are only £8 and there are deals for multiple ticket purchases. The raffle will be open all of Feb and March and a winner will be announced on 1st April.
We’re so pleased to be able to build a business that supports cancer charities along the way.
About the bike:
Our Vitus carbon road bike has been build by Shaun in the workshop, with the beautiful frame donated by a lovely customer. We’ve hand painted it, customised it, and ensured it’s running beautifully. A few visitors to the shop have taken it out on a test ride and were absolutely smitten! It’s a size large, so be aware it won’t be for everyone!
We’re hoping to do regular raffles, so stay tuned for something in your size!
Why prostate cancer UK?
We set up Dropbar Bike Repair in the wake of each of us having a parent diagnosed with cancer. One of them left us way too soon, and thankfully the other is still here to see what we’re building. We want to do what we can to help other families like ours, and offer support in various ways to difference cancer charities. Our launch party raised money for the North London Hospice, and this chosen charity was Prostate Cancer UK, as we feel it’s a really bike-related cancer - many people find out they’ve got cancer because of their discomfort when cycling. So do get yourself checked if you’re feeling uncomfortable.
Dropbar was designed to build community, support cyclists and raise some money for charity while we’re at it. We’re really pleased to be able to do this.
